Generosity bigger than this world
The best teachers are the ones you learn from without knowing you are being taught. Brent was that teacher for me. He lived an intentional life--never a spectator, he was happiest when he was fully participating in that life. And the event that was his life was open to all. Everyone was invited to share in the joy he experienced no matter what he was doing. He is one of those rare souls who can possess great wisdom that never obscures innocence and childlike curiosity for learning and adventure. It is hard for me to make sense of why Brent's life as we know it ended so abruptly; and, at a time when he was fully living his dream with his home, his animals, his vegetable gardens, his fruit trees, his career and all the rest. One thing that is certain for me is that he lived his life like each day was to be his most momentous. Never missing an opportunity to experience what each day had to offer with a persistent devotion to generously share the joy of his life. Brent's life is like the best meal you have ever tasted. The succulence of each bite of the carefully prepared dish is something you hope you can savor forever, but you know that eventually the glorious flavor will fade away and become a fond memory you will call on over and over again. And that memory will bring you joy. That is Brent's life. I have feasted on so much of what Brent generously offered and it was all delicious. The memory of that feast will forever brighten my soul. Thank you Brent. David
