“Bhouse”
Dear Bhouse, I want to thank you for all the support, memories and years of friendship. It was because of you that I am successful in life. It was all because of you that I entered the Hospitality industry and ultimately lead me to financial stability for my family and I. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, from the first time on TV on Jaime Oliver’s show to the long nights proofing dough, you taught me patience, resilience and to love life. You were there for me for anything that I needed, no questions asked. Not only did you help me grow, you saved my life by giving me purpose. No one else cared as much as you did at Santee. Even after a decade away from your classroom I still relish on the memories from ProStart, C-CAP and FHA. Your mentorship lead me to land a job for a great company. Thanks to you I had my first job, thanks to you I had purpose in life. I was lucky enough to see you last on your birthday in 2019, we spoke about life and success and I was privileged enough to share a cup of wine with you. You asked me when I was going to get married and I told you that soon and that I wanted for you to be there for both Veronica and I, unfortunately your time came to an end before that could happen. On a year that we all lost so much I feel your loss as the biggest. The world lost a great soul. I will never forget the impact you had in my life, if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I will forever cherish the memories. Till we meet again, Hey Hey! Richard Cuevas I knew Bhouse since 2010. Veronica and I will miss him forever, I last saw him in 2019 a day before his birthday, he came down because Veronica, my girlfriend of 10 years was being honored by the California Restaurant Association Foundation, if it was not for Bhouse's mentorship we both would not be where were are today. We got to enjoy a few hours together talking about life. Words can not explain the gratitude we have towards him. Bhouse made a huge impact in the lives of hundreds of students here in Los Angeles and through the state of California. He showed interest in us when society did not, I come from a poor neighborhood where I could of easily ended up going down the wrong path, Brent saved my life and the life of countless others by showing us that we had the power to be successful. He never gave up on us, he introduced us to an Industry where we could excel. He planted the seed in our brains to follow our dreams and passions.
